Ryan Oates

Ryan helps businesses deliver their Workplace Pensions and Employee Benefits.

Having studied Business Management at the University of East Anglia, and achieved Chartered status as a Financial Adviser, he now specialises in providing advice and support to companies and their employees.

Ryan has worked with major brands, multinational companies, PLCs, and many smaller businesses to help them retain and attract the best individuals. It’s also important to him that employees can get access to clear and simple financial guidance when needed.

With significant experience delivering presentations and communications to employees and management, he’s also comfortable working with different departments and stakeholders.

Ryan plays football for his local team (averagely), plays golf (poorly) and loves spending time with his wife and daughters.  His favourite film is Gladiator and - by his own admission - he has awful taste in music.

Ryan's recent experience includes:

• Advising on the consolidation of 49 workplace pension schemes for a single employer
• Assisting with an Employee Consultation following change to pension contributions and pensionable earnings
• Advising on the introduction of a salary exchange and bonus exchange arrangement
• Assisting an employer with the migration to a new payroll software/provider
• Calculating unclaimed and overclaimed tax relief – and providing evidence for HMRC
• Reducing the Annual Management Charge on the existing Workplace Pension following an open market tender exercise
• Generating significant savings for an employer by changing pension provider and introducing salary exchange
• Introducing a new employee benefit and providing onsite presentations to promote
• Delivering a Retirement Workshop to employees approaching their scheme retirement age
• Assisting senior executives with calculating pension annual allowance and carry forward available
