Following the recent passing of co-founder and Managing Director, Stephen 'Steve' Girling, our new leadership team has been announced.

Although Steve's passing was sadly unforeseen, we had already been diligently planning for the transition of his leadership well in advance, in line with his intentions to pass on the business in early 2024.  We are now prepared to embark on a new chapter with a strong and capable leadership team.

Dr Andy Wood OBE DL, who continues in his existing role as SGWM Board Chairman, expressed confidence in the newly appointed leadership team, highlighting Stephen's meticulous planning.  Dr Wood states, "Due to Steve's professional and conscientious planning, we had already agreed upon a robust leadership team.  I am confident that SGWM’s new board will honour his excellent legacy, driving the company forward by combining traditional values and excellent service with modern technology."

About the new SGWM Board:

Henry Gaskin, Managing Director:  Joining SG Wealth Management in 2011 following the purchase of Ipswich-based Stan Gaskin Ltd, Henry has already been helping lead the business as a Director and Chief Investment Officer for the last decade.  Previously spending five years at Jupiter Asset Management in London, he has detailed knowledge and qualifications in investment management, financial planning, and pension transfers.  He will continue his client work alongside his responsibility for the oversight and direction of SGWM.  

Fran Kemp, Director of Business Services:  Boasting a 24-year career in financial services, Fran Kemp assumes responsibility for operations, marketing, and compliance. With a background working for top local firms, Fran holds Chartered Status, an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, and is actively working towards her Fellowship.

David Tooley, Director of Client Advice:  Having joined us 2013, David Tooley is a Chartered Financial Planner.  His expertise and experience will be crucial in overseeing client advice and ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional financial planning services.
