A recent management buyout of SG Wealth Management, by Managing Director Stephen Girling, has seen considerable investment into advanced technology.
Recognising that the future of financial advice combines the ‘human touch’ with the best of technology, SGWM is implementing a new system which will give clients the ability to interact digitally via a dedicated e-portal – allowing them to access their information securely at any time, on any device.
Mr Girling says, “With a growing client base it’s imperative to have the correct technical and staffing resources in place. My main objective when I became majority shareholder of the company was to improve our service offering to clients and drive down costs by investing into both technology and skills. So, to ensure the successful integration of this new platform we have also appointed a specialist who will ensure its capabilities are successfully implemented and maximised.”
Jason Dorsett, who joins in the senior role of IT Manager, will have responsibility for managing the IT strategy, services and partners. Most recently employed by KCOM Enterprise, Jason has worked overseas and in the UK, and brings with him over 20 years of IT experience.
He comments, “I am looking forward to helping Stephen and the company realise the potential that investment into IT can bring. We have an ambitious strategy to expand on and continually improve our IT services and I’m excited by the additional capabilities we will be adopting and offering our clients in the future.”
Mr Girling concludes “I am certain that our current and future clients will benefit greatly from these technological improvements and that Jason will enjoy a successful career with SG Wealth Management.”
SGWM now boasts almost 40 staff across its Norwich and Ipswich offices and Jason’s appointment is the latest of 12 brand new positions created by the company over the last 18 months.
