Stuart is based from our Norwich office and serves clients mainly in Norfolk and Suffolk, although has a handful of clients as far afield as Northumberland and Somerset!
Having been lured by the excitement surrounding the [other] ‘big bang’ in 1986, plus a school outing to the London Stock Exchange, he began his financial services career in 1989. Roles within Personal Investment Management and Executorship & Trustee departments for a high street bank provided him with in-depth knowledge of people’s everyday financial lives, leading to his appointment as one of the youngest advisers in the bank’s Personal Investment department in 1996.
Since 2001 he’s provided unbiased, independent advice to clients and, together with former colleague Linda Kent, joined SGWM in 2007 as part of our expansion plans. Stuart is a strong believer in delivering a service focused on marrying his clients’ personal objectives with their money, working with their other trusted advisers to help them uncover the real motivation behind their financial decisions. Cashflow analysis is a cornerstone of his approach.
Stuart is an honorary member of Dereham & District Round Table and a keen sailor, cyclist and squash player and, together with others in his village, has recently ‘invested’ in his local pub to help ensure its future.
